How Kold Composites collects, uses and protects personal information, written in plain English.
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Who we are
Kold Composites ("we", "us") is a specialist composite workforce, recruitment and consultancy business based on the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy using the contact form or the direct email addresses on our contact page.
2. What we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us, through the forms on this site or by email:
- General enquiries: name, company, email address, telephone number and your message.
- Employer requirements: the above plus details of the workforce requirement, such as discipline, headcount, location, dates, shift pattern, processes and certifications.
- Meeting requests: name, company, contact details, preferred date and time, the type of support required and a short summary.
- Candidate registrations: name, contact details, home location, right to work region, discipline, composite processes, experience, sectors, certifications, availability, employment preferences, travel preferences, your CV if you upload or email one, and any additional information you include.
- Job alerts: email address and discipline.
This website does not use analytics or advertising trackers and does not set cookies (see the Cookie Policy). Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and service delivery.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, requirement or meeting request.
- To provide recruitment services: assessing candidate suitability, matching candidates to roles and arranging placements.
- To send job alert notifications you have asked for.
- To meet legal obligations that apply when a placement proceeds, such as right to work verification.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
4. Lawful bases
We rely on consent for candidate registrations and job alerts (which you may withdraw at any time), legitimate interests for responding to business enquiries and operating our services, and legal obligation where verification checks are required by law.
5. Who we share it with
- Prospective employers: candidate details are shared with hiring companies only for roles we are discussing with you, and with your agreement.
- Service providers: our website and forms are hosted by Netlify, which processes form submissions on our behalf. Providers act under contractual obligations and may process data outside the UK and EEA subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Authorities: where disclosure is required by law.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Candidate information is kept while your registration remains active and relevant, and reviewed periodically. You can ask us to remove your details at any time.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to our use of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is our basis. To exercise any of these, use the contact details on our contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Security
Information is transmitted over an encrypted connection and access is limited to those who need it to deal with your enquiry or registration.
9. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date at the top of this page.
